Terms of Service

Last revised 9 August 2026

The agreement between you and Career Cat: what the course is, what an account gets you, what the AI coach is and is not, and how either of us can end it.

This is a draft, and it is not in force. It has been written from the commitments Career Cat has already made to itself, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and has not been adopted. Bracketed text marks a detail a reviewer still has to settle. Nothing on this page is a representation to you yet.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Career Cat™ (“Career Cat”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. These terms apply to careercat.online and everything served from it. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the site.

The Get Hired Faster Easier course is built on the method of Catherine (Cat) Breet, whose name, work and voice Career Cat uses with permission. That permission is ours, not yours: it does not extend to you through these terms.

2. The course is free to read, and stays that way

All fifty lessons — the written article, the video, the audio and the slides — are free to view with no account and no payment. We do not put a lesson behind a login after you have read it.

A free account is required only to download the learner files that accompany a lesson, to join the Discord community, and to use the interactive exercises. Creating one costs nothing and requires no payment card.

3. Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email address. There is no password, so the security of your account is the security of your mailbox — keep it to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. One account is for one person; do not share sign-in links.

4. Paid plans, if and when you buy one

Paid plans are not on sale at the time this draft was written. When they are, the price, the billing period and what is included will be stated on the page where you buy, and that page is what you are agreeing to. This section sets out only the rules that will apply to every plan.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account.
  • Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not retroactively refund the period you have already paid for, which runs to its end.
  • If a plan includes a metered allowance, the allowance and what happens when you reach it are stated at the point of sale.
  • If your plan lapses, your saved work becomes read-only. It is not deleted, and you can still export it — see section 6.
  • We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days’ notice to the email address on your account.

5. What the AI coach is, and what it is not

The coaching features are software. You are talking to a machine, not to Cat Breet and not to any other person, on every channel we offer — chat, voice and phone. We say so at the start of every conversation and we will never imply otherwise.

Where a coaching feature uses a synthetic voice modelled on Cat Breet’s, it is used with her written permission and it is disclosed as synthetic.

The coach can be wrong. It can state something confidently that is out of date, inapplicable to your country or industry, or simply incorrect. Nothing it produces is legal, financial, immigration, medical or employment advice, and no part of this site guarantees an interview, an offer, a salary or a job. Decisions about your career remain yours.

6. Your content, and getting it back

What you write into a worksheet, a quiz or a coaching conversation is yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, show it back to you, and run the features you asked for. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models we do not control.

You can export everything you have written, and you can permanently delete your account and its contents, at any time and on any plan — including a lapsed one. Neither is behind a payment, a support ticket or a retention offer. The only exception is the narrow set of records we are legally required to keep, such as billing records for tax purposes; the privacy policy says which and for how long.

7. What you may not do

  • Republish, resell or redistribute the course material, the learner files or the coach’s output as your own product.
  • Scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people, or work around the download gate.
  • Use the coaching features to produce claims about yourself you know to be false.
  • Impersonate Cat Breet or Career Cat, or reuse the synthetic voice anywhere outside this site.
  • Attempt to reach other people’s accounts, data or saved work.

8. Availability, and ending the agreement

We aim to keep the site up, and we do not promise it will never be down. Features may change, and lessons may be revised or replaced as the course is updated.

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks section 7, and where we do, we will say why to the email address on the account and you keep your right to export under section 6.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of these terms is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free account, is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Changes, law and contact

If we change these terms materially we will email the address on your account before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory protection you have where you live.

Questions about these terms: hello@careercat.online.
